What is it about buying condoms that is embarrassing or awkward?

I've never understood it. When I have had to buy them it was never anything I was nervous about...to me it's just buying condoms

Not many are open about sex. To be honest, sex is a natural thing that is healthy for us. Consider it taboo in today's society. I don't see a problem if someone knows, what's that info going to do for them?

there is a lot of stigma attached with buying condoms, most people think that people under the age of 18 should not be having sex, therefore they should not be buying condoms and I think this has a lot to do with the embarrassment and shame some of us feel when we goto buy them.

i dunno iv never had a problem with it and i dont understand whats so bad about buying condoms people should be happy your having sex safely

I order my favorite condoms by mail. They come in a discreet box :)
But the box is so super discreet that the mail-man knows for sure what is in it :D
It is neither awkward nor embarrassing to me :metal:

I've bought them both from the shops and online. I rather get the online because there's more choice and it's less hassle

It's just like going up to someone on the street and telling them you're going to have sex. You don't do it.
