So you're probably going to want to like smack me and be all 'wtf kid this is the dumbest shit ever" but I'm still gonna post this. Lol.

So since I don't really have anyone to support and help me [except my bff, and you guys of course :)] I decided I was going to try and help myself as much as I can. At least until I can gtfo of here. And I'm just going to try being more positive, I guess.

And I think you guys should join me in that. Believe me, I know its not easy. My entire family is negative, so they won't be any help at all. You might think this is a good idea, or you might think this is shit and it won't work on you. But you've got to try, okay?
So, what you need to do is every time you have a negative thoughts, to drive them out with positive thoughts. If I can do it, you can do it, too. Its very hard for us to try and have at least one positive thought, especially us with depression. But AT LEAST one positive thought a day is good for you.

You can write that positive thought here, or really just anything positive on here. It can be about yourself (that'd be great if it was :).) Or anything you want. You can write it all here to keep track of it.

I read the other thread and there was a comment there, that you should read again and again.
Well let me just say I really enjoyed some of the other threads you started and you converse well.

We'd miss you here if you decided to leave us.

I do hope you hold on for 4 more years, in the mean time distract yourself by learning a puzzle or skill.

There are websites you can devote online time learning to computer program and code and you can pour yourself into that hobby just out of frustration, without your parents even knowing.

And when you emerge as an 18 year old, you'll have this amazing skillset that might land you a good paying job and you can get out of that house.
I bolded the important parts.

It doesn't have to be programming (tho Id highly recommend it, it opens up so many doors), but find a skill and devote time to it.

It only takes about 5k hours to get really good at a skill (7 hours of dedication for 2 years). When it comes to learning anything, it's the first hours/days that is difficult, after that it becomes fun (because your getting the hang of it).

Thanks, I really appreciate that :)
Programming isn't really my thing but I am searching for other hobbies and skills to learn.
And I want others to join me in on this because it adds that much power to it.

I only suggested that because it seem a discrete hobby you could learn without being nagged by your "roomate" nightmare of a family.

There are hobbies I learned that I did not enjoy learning, but it was an escape for my emotions rather than bottling them up.

But let me provide other options:

1. Learning to cook really good meals.

2. Website building which you could then use to draw, design, artwork handmade or computer generated.

Watch a lot of TED talks videos online to draw inspiration.

But because you said you are restricted from leaving the house that does limit you to hobbies you have at home.

You could take up writing fan fiction, or original stories (brace yourself for troll critics though) or poetry.

Anyway my negative thought today is that in am working on a group project for finals and it is due soon. But my partners aren't nearly as far along in their contribution to the work as I'd like us as a group to be. Also because my life right now will prevent me from doing my part of the assignment until they pass their part of the project to me so I can finish it.

My grade is determined by them, to which I have no control.

Positive thoughts:

1. I'm alive.

2. It's a grade which is an arbitrary thing man made up to rate each other, it doesn't really mean anything in life.

3. I random stranger told me I was attractive (if I weren't a minor I might've taken them up on a date) but regardless that made me feel good.

4. My body is physically capable of orgasm. (That's a blessing we all overlook)

5. I'm not starving right now.

6. I'm not worried about where my next meal is coming from or where my source of drinking water is.

7. I have my eye sight, sense of smells, hearing, sense of touch.

8. I haven't developed a mental illness (and hopefully never will)

9. I'm losing my excess weight in accordance with my New Years resolution.

I hope that project turns out well for you. It yes, a grade is just used to rate and it really does mean nothing in life. I loved your positive thinking, I don't think I'd be able to come up with that many :).

Well I hope some of those on that list are true for you too.

You can reread that post when you feel down.
