Not very sure on this one. I believe one is called "Period" and that's all I can think of.

the real term is "Menstral Period" but I think most just call it "Period"

It is probably because when you have your period your womb thingy :P excretes the blood and other tissue to protect it and a possible baby and rebuilds it somewhat. So it is kinda redecorating if you will. I know I am not exact but I am sure one of the female members will put it in better terms if they understand my drift :P

Love that. Ive heard it referred to as many weird things as well.. The most common has to be just saying "period" thought rarely has it been referred to as "menstrual period". *shrug* meh.

I usually call mine my period, or say "I'm on". Although if I wanna be a bit secretive (eg. boys are about) I'll say "Tom" which is just an abbreviation of time of the month.

Um...I think painters is obvious because of the blood.. decorators too. I also know, "Falling off the roof" Which I DON"T get,"Roll ot the Micky Mouse matress", "My friend," "The curse." Yada yada yada. You know, mosty girls just call it "Time" "TOM" or "period" when guys aren't around. It's only because 99.9% of women HATE periods. Including me...:cool:
