Who are we?

[Oblivion]

I wrote this about Native Americans please post what you think! It came to me while i was doodling in my History class... :)


Who are We?
Many hunted and fished for their lives,

Cutting up animals for food with their knives,

But then into small villages they were pushed,

Tighter and tighter until they were squished,

Forced to trade and lose traditions,

Forced to agree and sign petitions,

Wars were fought and many died,

Many were scared and were forced to hide,

Sent down the dreadful Trail of Tears,

Some were adult, but some were our peers.



Of course these people spoken of,

Are Native Americans the ones we should love,

For some reason though, after helping us out,

We forced them to minority, with no voice to shout,

With little success we still try to undo the errors,

To undo the time they faced horrible terrors,

But that, however, will never work,

The restless souls will always lurk.

The rhyme scheme seems a bit forced all the way through,
But good nontheless = )

First two lines of the second stanza are a little whacked up....but besides that it's really good.
