It's interesting to see the poll seems to be bearing out the general impression I get from comments guys have made here.

According to the Puberty Survey on JackinWorld about half of guys have at least one wet dream and half don't. If that figure is right then clearly wet dreams are something that should be mentioned in sex-ed. Where I suspect sex-ed may convey the wrong impression is if it suggests that a wet dream is the most likely way a guy would discover he can ejaculate or that he would have the majority of his ejaculations, prior to starting to have sex, from wet dreams. Historically sex-ed has given exactly that impression because masturbation has been taboo.

its a very rare occurrence but i do masturbate regularly but every once in a while i will have a wet dream, on average its about 2-3 per year
