I've been sick for days now and have been absent from high school for three consecutive days.Is there ways that I can get caught up easily with homework?

Hey,
Firstly, hope you're feeling much better now!
Secondly, I really like your attitude about catching up with stuff you missed, it's a really good thing to have!
Does your school have some form of VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) where teachers upload material/content? If so, I'm sure you'll find some notes on there which you could use to help you catch up?

If not, I'd definitely recommend maybe spending some of your time after class to talk to your teachers - I'm sure they'll help you with getting you caught up asap!

Hope that helps, have fun!
Andy

Thanks, the only way I can get homework is if I email 6 teachers to find out what it was.If not,I can collect the homework I missed this Monday.

Is it absolutely necessary to do the homework? Whenever I'm off I don't have to do the homework that was set because I wasn't present.

Personally, I'd just ask them on Monday - chances are they'll already have a few spare sheets saved for you, and plus it's easier for them to explain you face-to-face, rather than via email!

Yes, because you're not exactly going to write in an exam:
"I don't know how to answer this question, because I wasn't present when it was taught"
Are you?

No need to be a little bitch about it. Homework is usually assignments that take place after being taught a subject, you can't really do homework if you haven't been taught it. Furthermore, you're not the OP so you can't answer that question - bye.

I'm sorry if that sounded bitchy, but it's the what teachers drilled into our heads when we were at school...

You have a point there, but shouldn't it be a student's responsibility to catch-up on the work they've missed (by the process of self-study / self-learning) if they're absent from school for whatever reason?

Sorry I'm such a prick I go off on one over nothing all the time and I apologise. But yes I agree if it's an important subject but most people wouldn't unless they were pushed to do so.

It's fine :)
Yeah I quite understand you there actually - I was the same at school, in the sense that I'd only catch up on the "Big 3" (English, Maths, Science).
There's no point catching up on stuff that are of little importance / you know you won't need again!

Of course that changes once you're in Higher Education and studying for something you enjoy!

Thanks Andyyy95,I'm going to find out what I missed and claim my homework on Monday Abhorrence The school systems must be different between United States and Great Britain. Most schools here have a two grade system, academic and work habits that are put together for a final grade.Academics is usually all of of your assessments you have taken and work habits is if you do your homework on time and all the time.If you lack on either academic or work habits, the one side you are not doing well on will pull down your grade.

Okay mate, take it easy, don't work yourself too hard - have plenty of rest, since you're still recovering :)
