Is sperm/semen harmful even without an STD

If when sperm reaches the egg it "burrows" into it, can it do the same thing in your throat if you taste (or swallow) yourown? Is that why they said in sex ed it might be unsafe? I've read it can irritate your eyes, so it must react in some way with other things outside of the uterus. Is there any way it can be bad for your health or is it normal?


Have you ever gotten a sore throat from it?

How many times has it happened?
Did it stop at some point, if so how long did it take?
Why does it irritate eyes, is it because the eye is soft like a female egg, or is there another reason?


I asked this in sex ed and the teacher said something about throat cancer, but I'm not sure if he heard me properly.

The sperm themselves do not pose a risk and it seems semen only poses a risk if it carries an infection and that includes the risk of cancer. Semen is completely harmless as long as there is no STD present. I've never had a sore throat from swallowing cum.

No it is not harmful to your throat unless it contains a sexually transmitted disease or infection. If somebody has HPV (human papillomavirus) and ejaculates in your mouth then it is possible that you could get throat or mouth cancer. HPV is one of the most commonly transmitted STDs. Semen can irritate your eye because it's not just liquid, it clumps and then dries so it can irritate your eye if you don't wash it out.

No, its only harmful if the person is infected with something; it will not burrow in your throat like it does the girls egg; the acids in your digestive tract will kill sperm, so its not like its swimming around in there; I dont ever recall sperm or giving bjs causing throat cancer, so that might be incorrect information, I cant find anything on it.

Yeah if you're infected with HPV maybe it can spread the disease. Maybe you'll get some irritation in your eyes. I've heard about allergic reaction on semen, but that's a very rare and isolated cause.
