Signature BB Code Question

I noticed that my signature image is showin up as a link instead of a picture, even though the link is wrapped with [img] tags. When I looked at the Edit Signature page, it said that IMG code was turned off for my signature. Why is this and how do I fix it?

There is a special tag for sigpics instead of using [img] tags you should upload your signature onto VT and then insert [sigpic][/sipic] where you want to insert your signature. Optionally, any text you insert between the [sigpic] tags will be visible in the signature's hover text.

I will say, though, that a large gif will probably be too large in filesize to be uploaded.
