i get migraines all the time...it doesnt always mean that its your period. could just be stress. and i dont really know what to tell you about the brown water besides just wait it out, and after you get your period, if its still happening, then maybe to to the doctor.

Most girls assume that when they start their period it will be bright red blood. In reality, the first and last day or two you are on your period (especially the first few times you have it), the blood will be more of a brownish color. Is this "brown water" thin, like water, or does it have a bit of a thicker consistency? If it's thicker, probably slightly sticky if it's on your panties long enough to start to dry, then congrats you've probably started your period. If you can talk to your mom, or even an older sister (though it would probably be best to go to mom first), about buying some pads at the store that would probably be best. Don't be surprised if this stops after a few days and never seems to come back, it's usually a few months between your first and second period, and it's often two or three years before you're on a really regular schedule.
The migraines may be from PMS. Keep track of when they started, when this brown discharge started, and when either symptom goes away. See if there's any relation. Also, be sure to think about other possible causes for the migraines. Are you under more stress than usual? Are you taking any new medications (even over-the-counter ones) or have you recently changed your diet? Are you getting a normal amount of sleep? Things like that. If it is PMS, the migraines should be gone by a few days after the blood stops (you say it's been about a week, so it should be done any day now), and they shouldn't start again until your next period. If you suspect they're not related, and Tylenol or Excedrin isn't helping, see a doctor to figure things out. Likewise, if the brown discharge smells sour, or sort of fishy, or just plain strange, see a doctor to be sure everything's normal. If it doesn't stop within the next week, also see a doctor just to be safe.
(Also, I assume if you haven't been wearing pads, this has stained some of your panties and perhaps your jeans. In the future if this happens, try to get cold water and a little soap on the stain as quickly as possible, it works miracles.)

You just answered your own question, and this thread has been resolved anyways, so I think I'm just going to close it.
