View Full Version : Why?

Earlier this day, I was doing my normal thing, reading a book, being lazy, etc., and then I spotted a box that we keep our wood carving tools in. I went to open it up, no reason why, and then I attatched a blade to one of the knife handles. I looked at it for a bit, and then started cutting small, precise cuts on my hand. Some were painful, but none of them were deep enough to cause bleeding. I eventually realized that what I was doing was stupid and put the knives away.

I have no problems right now, except that I'm releasing some pent up stress I've had because I've been running around everywhere these last couple of days, but I'm in a perfectly good mood. Why?

i know what you mean. just while watching tv now i sat there on the couch stroking the blade of the scissors. no intention of cutting just liked the feeling of knowing that i could at any moment.

sometimes boredom can be a trigger. thats when i used to just cut designs into my skin. the pain was fascinating and it was something to do. next try do something else instead of cutting and you might be able to overcome the urge.

i hope that helps

I don't cut or do self harm. I've come close. But I've never actually done it, so there was absolutely no reason.

But I'm happy! I don't want to self harm, it doesnt make any sense.

Easy now, cutting is often a way of relieving stress to some people. Guys please read my list of things to do Other than cutting. Because once you cit you often rely on it to help lessen your stress.

My stress... which is basically non existent at this moment?

I dunno, I wasn't stressed at all, I was just happily sitting there reading my book?!!??
