Nosy Parents! Help!

My parents can be a little nosy sometimes! So, when I'm in the bathroom, my dad just walks in without knocking, like I want my own privacy! (My mom knocks before coming in.)! And I'm not allowed to lock doors, too. When in my room, both my parents jusher barge in and then they like walk around my room, looking at everything!

On my Instagram, my parents check who's following me and people who I don't know can't follow me! I'm pretty sure my parents check my private messayes, too. They also go through my emails and once a while, they will take all of my devices, checking to see what I do! They also have a rule that I have to put my electronics in their room when I go to bed! It's no fair because not friends don't have to!

Also, sometimes I feel like they have some app on their phones that watches me whatever I do on my devices! Like, I don't even have a chance to read 5SOS smut!

If my parents caught me reading that type of stuff, I could get in huge trouble! Im even afraid to have my own "me" time(You probably know what I mean..) because I'm afraid my parents will just walk in! I want my parents to know that I'm growing up and I'm not so little anymore and that I'm having new feelings and want more privacy!

That sounds like a little bit more than just a bit "nosy", that's bordering on obsessive and creepy honestly. Have you considered speaking to any family members about this?

No, because I wonder how they are going to react. I do talk about this with my internet BFF though, I always rant about it to her.

My mom too had this bathroom paranoia.....unitl I was 13 or so ......If I want to poo I'd tell her..then she comes along. get me to take my shoes and pants off and waits outside holding them..door is always half closed. Whn I'm done I need to tell her. She comes in and makes sure that I clean up properly.(ugh) and gives my pants back.....she did these all cos I had "skid marks" in my white briefs on & off.
I was made fun of cos this was done in my girls cousins' house too and they saw..

Perhaps ask them for more privacy. Tell them that if they really trust you, they wouldn't read your private messages unless they have probable cause.

Whoa. Now that's a situation I'd rather not be in. :whoops: I don't know if talking to them will help like some of the others suggested? I know some parents can be unreasonable though. Maybe you can give them some valid reasons on why you deserve to get the privacy? They could never deny you if you have your facts right and seem to know what you're saying.
