Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment for an infection and that nurse was working again and she told me to take off my clothes and put that shirt covering thing on and she took my heartbeat and stuff and blood pressure and she also looked at my penis again. Looked at it, picked it up, lifted up my scrotum and put it back.

Is this weird??!

Well, you didn´t specify an approximate age of the nurse but anyway I think she didn´t do anything which I would call weird.

She might be checking for abnormal lumps in the scrotum and for signs and symptoms of sexually transmitted disease.

Personally, I never heard of the nurse doing that, it was always the doctors for me. If you're uncomfortable with it, can you not just ask for someone of the same gender to do it?

Yeah ...some nurses/docs make sure that some stuff are made embarrassing....

I remember whn I was a kid I got badly constipated and got a suppository inserted. Nurse told my mom to take me home just in my undies in case a poo accident happens (to save my pants)....this was totally unnecessary......Walking thro OPD in my briefs + tee was pretty embarrassing...I was just 8 or 9 at that time but kids got a dignity too.

if this is the second time you have experienced this, how many times does it have to happen before you begin to ask her what she is doing or looking for? i make it a habit to question anything that i think is odd or strange.

Because if she is young, probably she felt embarassed when your penis hardened a bit, that´s why she smiled. Usually doctors or nurses with big experience do such things without showing their emotions.

My penis was not the reason I was at the doctor's so no, I dont think so
