So I"m going to get my wisdom teeth out on Friday, and I heard that when you come off of the anesthesia you're in some weird confused almost high state. What should I expect?

Alright. That's good to hear. I would like to be fully aware of my actions and not do anything stupid.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on in those videos 'cause I was not like that at all. There are different levels of sedation and from what I've been told, but don't quote me on this, is that lower levels of sedation can leave you "loopier" than being completely under. I woke up, enjoyed my nap, got up, went home. I was coherently writing part of a creative story like an hour after I woke up. So I was fine. I might have been a tiny bit giggly when I first woke up but it might have been more because I had gauze shoved in my cheeks and I decided the first thing I absolutely had to do was send a video to my best friend of how dumb I looked.

I have never had anesthesia myself, but know that it affects people differently. Some people feel sick (nausea) when they wake up. My mom has had several surgeries and she told me that a few times she got sick when coming out of anesthesia.

Yeah, my dad mentioned that. However, my mum never did. An interesting fact is that most people react similarly to one or both of their parents. My mum and I take all the same medications, have the same health problems, and turns out we react the same way to anaesthesia (with the exception of her having an allergy I don't).

If you're nervous, maybe ask one of your parents how they reacted and you may get a good idea of what to expect.

When I was 10 I hung from a door while playing and my shoulder got dislocated. In the hospital they put an IV and gave a drug, I just felt sleepy and do not remmeber what follwed.

Next thing I remember is waking up in a ward with just my undies (they've taken my pants off)...I've peed in them..I felt faintish to get up and go to the bathroom. so nurse came and gave me a sponge bath, gave me a urinal to pee and got me into a fresh pair of briefs my mom has bought......I was normal by next day and went home .My shoulder was ok but I had to wear a sling for 2 weeks

I remember having anaesthesia when I had to have many of my teeth out in order to have braces.

As far as I remember, I don't remember feeling weird or anything, apart from a few headaches that day.

Definitely recommend having someone get you to/from the clinic though, don't think it's safe to go on your own should anything happen afterwards.

They gave me 5 different kinds of Meds when i had mine taken out. It probably will be defferent than you because i had two surgeries rather than just my wisdom meeth. I had that and an expose and bond. It really isnt that bad. I remember going from10-8 then i was home. I have videos of me thinking my dad was jesus and ne asking for god. I was out of it but i dont even remember what happened! Not that bad, nothing to worry about:) good luck!
