I'm really shy

I haven't posted on these forums for a while now, but I have a question. Alright so I'm really shy and there's a girl that I like, but I don't have any classes with her except for gym. I haven't talked to her at all or anything, nor have I talked with many girls in depth. I know she's also pretty shy, and I don't think she has a boy friend, but anyways I like her a lot , but I don't really know what to say to her. As I said before, I'm shy so it's gonna take a lot of nerve to go up to her and talk. Even when I do go up and say hi, what do I say with out sounding weird or creating long Awkward gaps in the conversation. Also how do I start a conversation with her, how long should it be, and what do I talk about (I don't know any of her interests).

Please help me out and reply saying how I should do this because I have no experience with girls, and I'm not gonna ask my mom or anything because that would be kind of weird. I hate being as shy as I am so yea please help me out because I like this girl and 9 th grade is almost ending, and I don't know if she's going to be in any of my classes next year, and I also wanted to have girlfriend by the end of the year. :wub: :lol:

Maybe think of things to say beforehand? Ask her about her interests or something. I'm very shy also so that's just what I try to do.
Work on being more confident beforehand, perhaps.
