Boy; Change hair color to blond / get highlights?

Hello, I'm wondering whether or not to get highlights in my hair, I'm 16, I've got (dark-)brown hair, and I've never done anything like this before!

Go for it would look good, I've only ever dyed my hair once, you'll probably at first think why but a day or two later you'll be happy with it
