If this isn't allowed here, then let me know.
I need some help/advice. Every year our school does a day long talent show, and winners compete with winners from other schools in the district. The top three from the district wide competition get to preform at the County fair and win cash prize. I have finally worked up courage to participate, but we have to audition to get a spot in the school wide talent show. Music acts have to have 3 songs prepared for the audition and I'm not sure what three to do. I have some ideas of the songs I would like to preform but often the songs i like doing friends have said, they aren't the best I have done.
So i was wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me what they think my best 3 songs on my music page are to help me choose what three i will do for the audition. Auditions start on monday so don't have too much time to work on new songs, so figured could focus on songs i already know and have done.
So what three songs should I do? Also anyone have any advice for auditioning for things? Have you done a school talent show?

It is just a talent show, don't worry. Just as long as you have fun and be positive, this could be something you might enjoy and I'm glad you have the courage to go out on stage.
Based on the list of songs you gave, you seem to like a variety of music and that's good for a singer. I would probably have three songs prepared for your audition that sound nothing alike. Like a pop song, a country song, and hip hop song etc. Just to show off how creative you are.
You didn't mention if you play an instrument or not, that would be a bonus too.
Also you can go with songs you know the words too. Nothing is worse than going to a singing audition and forgetting the words. :(
There are also a few songs from your list that I'm sure you already know, that I don't think are appropriate for school, so in my opinion I wouldn't choose those.
But since you asked what songs we think are best, like Halo by Beyonce, She Will be loved by Maroon 5, and Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers.
And yes, I was in a talent show for summer camp with my friends a few years ago and we did Never Say Never by Justin Bieber but we lip synced it, and we got fourth place out of twenty acts so yeah. :)

Thanks guys! That helps a lot. Yea I was thinking of doing a variety to show off range, but also want to do songs most people know and like. I do play an instrument, play piano and guitar but while I'm singing I just do guitar cause I have trouble playing piano and singing at the same time! And this isn't just a school talent show, my school and district take it seriously! A spot to play at the county fair might not sound like much, but at the county fair there is a chance to win a trip for a guaranteed audition for American Idol. There is a lot on the line and the money prize also doesn't hurt lol

UPDATE: My audition went super well! everyone was surprised and the few students and teacher that were doing the auditions said that the other acts will have a tough time beating me. that gave me a lot of confidence. I performed 2 covers and an original song and the teacher was super impressed with my original song. now just have like a month to get ready for the show.
