Yep, as is being said, it is absolutely normal. Happens all the time and doesn't have anything to do with sexual desire, just puberty hormones doing their thing. It will pass as time goes by, no worries.

I understand that the thought of you having same-sex attractions may scare you, because of the way society behaves around sexualities other than 'Straight', but just know and understand that there is nothing wrong with not being straight, and it is not something you have to deny or fear. I am not saying you are necessarily bisexual or gay, but what I am saying is that no one should rule these things out, because if they do end up having these feelings, internal repression and homophobia can make the process quite difficult. In short, yes, what you are feeling is normal, but don't become defensive or angry about whatever your sexuality may be, just learn to accept it.

It's perfectly normal. They tell us that even in Sex-Ed class at school too. It seems like I'm always boning up especially like in PE when we are dressing out or taking a shower. It gets especially embarrassing though if I get a boner in any of my other classes becuz I have to cover it up to keep from getting embarrassed, becuz then others will think I'm a perv, specially the girls.

There were boys who used to bone up regularly when we changed for pe or swimming in junior school when we were 9 or 10 and I remember a few times some guys actually felt left out and tried to make themselves bone up :P It was just innocent and its sad how it all changes when you understand what sex is about as you get older, but everyone knows boys can just bone up for no particular reason. Seems to me its just the bullies who mess everyone up about it.

At this age, anything remotely related to nudity or sex can give you a boner. You're probably straight and just going through this issue. I'm bisexual and I found out I was bi when I got erections around guys, but I liked it. If you don't like it, you're probably just straight and going through that oversexed phase I guess. Either that or you could be bisexual, but not be comfortable with the idea of being like that. But it's unlikely. You're probably straight.

My two cents is try not to bone up in locker rooms. Been playing sports mu entire life (dad's a coach) and I've never boned up or seen a boner in a locker room unless it was a dude who was acting a fool lol. People get semis sure but not wood. But if you do just make a joke I guess. But just because teens get boners a ton doesn't mean you should or it's always appropriate. I mean I imagine you've been getting boners for years so surely you know how to get rid of them by thinking of anything not remotely sexual.
