Is it safe for a condom to be placed in my wallet, while my wallet is in my pocket? Could it be damaged? I also have a small metal box, used to store condoms, is it safer to keep them in there while having the box in my pocket? Generally, what's the best way to keep condoms on you, without damaging them?

I CAN get damaged being in your wallet, but it depends on the amount of time being there. If you are going to have sex in the next 30 minutes for example, and place it in your wallet then go to your partner or whatever, then it's ok. If it's in your wallet for over a week, you will probably want to avoid using it. The heat can and will damage the material.

A lot of people say that you shouldn't put a condom in your wallet. If you do so, you should keep it in there for only a short period of time and take care that it doesn't come in contact with coins or so as they could damage it.

i keep mine in a small pocket in my backpack which i usually have with me at all times. i would assume that its safe in your wallet as long as there are no sharp objects near it to puncture it. if you have a small tin that you can keep it in, that would be better protection overall.

great advice from Thomas. you want to make sure you take care of the condoms. if you think you will be using it anyways, put it in your pocket

Definitely do not put a condom in your wallet because as mentioned above the heat will damage the condom. Beyond that, you are opening and closing your wallet a lot meaning that the condom is going to get moved around and the packaging possibly getting messed up.
My suggestion is to follow the instructions on the condom box and keep the condom in a place that is cool and dry. If the issue is that you're afraid about someone finding the condom, then you are just going to have to find a place where no one will look. However, don't get too exotic where you hide your condom. At least I give you credit for wanting to stay safe when having sex, but you got to store your condom right otherwise the protection will be of no use.

According to what I've read, it's not safe at all.
Now, if you plan to use it during the night, it's ok to put it in your wallet but if the condom will stay there for weeks until you've the chance to use it, it could be already damaged.

its unwise to keep condoms in either your pockets or wallet especially when going out to clubs an things like that, condoms have to stay in a 'cool dry' place, when the latex is heated to a certain degree it can weaken. and when dancing in clubs or even being in them, your body gets hot and leather can hold heat (im sure everyone knows what its like to sit in a car when its warm with leather seats). I wouldn't risk it, but. Just my opinion.

Alright, I'm gonna unroll some scenarios to you (pun intended) :lol:
Picture this: You know for a fact that you're going to be having sex in the next like 30 minutes or next hour or even next 2 hours and you need a condom because you're about to leave for their house, so you stash it in your wallet for safe keeping. In a case like that, it's perfectly fine as long as your wallet doesn't go through any abnormal ware and tare in that time.
The second scenario is that you just got a condom or condoms and figured that it wouldn't hurt to have one in your wallet just in case you did get lucky in the next few months or year or some other unspoken time period. In that case, it's not safe at all because of all the times you're going to be sitting down on it and having it go through rapid temperature changes, (your body heat to normal room temp) it's safe to say that the condom won't be safe after a while of that.

Not only can it damage it, it will. If you read the box of condoms, most have storage instructions. I know on mine it lists those, and then lists in bold;
"Do not store in wallet."
The heat can cause the material to crack or become less durable.

This should be okay, but again, after a few times of doing this the condom may still break or become less durable.

It could be damaged anywhere really. It's a pretty safe spot though generally
