I didn't really know where else to post this so I decided to put it here.
So, when I was a child I would have lots of trouble sleeping and frequent nightmares. Later on they just stopped and I was fine.
For about the past year, year and a half maybe (I obviously can't keep track of time), the nightmares came back. But they're more disturbing than when I was a child.
I don't know if I should go into them. I know not to get into detail because they are rather disturbing and graphic.
As far as I know, I don't really scream or anything in my sleep. I know I move a lot and all but that's mostly because I'm a restless sleeper, always have been.
I don't even know what I'm trying to ask here, lol. I guess...what do I do about them? Something like that, I guess...

I guess something must be causing them, are you stressed or anything happened ?

Is there anything that triggered them like a specific event that's happened?

Well I don't think it was a specific event or anything. I also had them when I was a kid (not as bad as these but you know) and there wasn't any event that caused them. I was never physically/sexually abused. I don't get it.

Maybe you could wait a few weeks and see how the nightmares/dreams go. See if they settle down or not. Maybe you could also speak to a doctor or a professional. I'm not sure what else there is to suggest.

You say they are graphic/ disturbing, do they frighten you or do you find them interesting ?

They frighten me but sometimes I do find them interesting I guess. I don't remember a lot of them but I still feel them there.
And this isn't when I just sleep, either. Sometimes I'll just be at school then for a moment I'm in my own nightmare. But it's only for that moment and it takes me a bit to process what just happened. Sometimes that moment flashes several times in that period of time but sometimes it's just once.

I used to have nightmares and night terrors, I'd constantly wake up sweating and sometimes screaming. I used to also pull my hair out in my sleep. It eventually just went away, I don't really sleep anymore. The only time I properly sleep is when I'm with someone.
Sometimes things can just occur with no explanation and that looks like the case here.

I know nightmares can be caused from stress as well, and with the things your going through I'm not surprised you're having them. I don't know what to do about them though or how to cope with them x(

Idk, I've gotten used to them, lol.
I guess I should wait and see if they go away? I mean when I had them as a kid they went away.
And I'm really sorry about that, Jack. It's great that it went away though. I hope u get your sleep fixed, though.
