Ok so i am 18 years old and i have always worn boxers, so the other day my mom comes home with compression shorts for me and says these should make my job easier because i have a very active job, how do i get use to wearing them as their are very from fitting and tight. I guess their suppose to be like that i don't know because i have never worn any type of tight fitting clothing especially underwear. Thanks for your time, here is a link to the shorts them selves, their not expensive because she said i don't want to spend a lot if you won't like them.

UPDATE:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i just bought Nike Pro Combat Compression shorts what a difference it makes over the jockey brand. I could not wear the jockey without being uncomfortable. I followed the size chart and measurement that nike says to do before buying what a difference. They are super tight but in a super confotablee way. Better support and a better feelign fabric.

they are supposed to be tight... I personally love the feeling if you like them i recommend getting Under Armour mesh boxer jocks

They look just like something that I wear when I play sports. And yeah they are good for activity, because they keep your junk in place and they are meant to be tight. I personally love wearing them but whether you want it depends on your own preference.

idk dude, i think the only way you can get used to wearing something like that is to just put them on and wear them around casually to see if you can adjust to them, thats the only way i can see you getting accustomed to them. good luck

Ok, the link says boxer briefs, but at some research these are by Jockey under the brand name JKY and they are called Sport Mesh boxer briefs, but after some research they are Compression Shorts, so don't let the name fool you

this. I usually only wear compression shorts for working out and sports, but I do wear boxer briefs and trunks so I am use to wearing tighter underwear. the only way to get use to wearing them is by wearing them

well I have worn them before. trust me though, you want something holding/protecting your balls and penis if you are going to be very active

the question is how tight are they suppose to be.

the question is how tight are they suppose to be.

well different brands and styles may be different, but they are supposed to be on the tighter side for sure. they can be tighter than boxer briefs/briefs. they are made that way in many cases. it will take some time getting used to

ok i just i should just put them on at night and wear them for a little bit to get use to them, the ones that i have when you look at them you say you are not going to fit in them but when they are on they are tight, but i can move freely, at the leg opening i can get two fingers under easily so are they the correct tightness. They are part mesh and part solid material.

If you google for compression shorts a lot of stuff comes up. I'm not sure if wearing them at
night is a good idea - they are supposed to improve your athletic performance and you aren't
doing much of that at night.

i understand that but i have never worn anything tight as underwear so it is a big chance since all i wear is boxers, and i am trying to figure out how high they are suppose to be, i guess they are pretty tight because if you have ever watched sports it seems like soccer players wear them and u can see they below their shorts and they never seem to move

well at night can kind of help, but since they are made for athletics, it might be good to do something active. it is not like boxer briefs which are made to be worn whatever (though some people do wear compression shorts more often, esp ones with smaller legs and stuff)

but yea, do stuff to start get used to the feel, esp when you are doing stuff/moving around

boxers are so loose though they do not offer any protection. they are made for comfort, but honestly, I do not find them even comfortable. to each their own of course

haha right right. and that is what you have to do. keep in mind, not all compression shorts are equal, just like some boxer briefs/trunks/whatever are made better than others

But are they intended to be worn all day, or only during sports activities?

usually they are made more for sports/physical activities, but some can be worn all day (I guess they all could be, but many are not going to be comfortable to wear all day. some of the shorter leg ones are kind of enough like boxer briefs though, so it depends)

different brands have different sizes, even when they go by the same size chart they can still fit differently

I'd buy like 1 pair of a brand and see if you like them cause I got a bunch that I don't like cause they don't fit my body good
But once you find the Brand you like yiur good

I probably wouldn't wear them to sleep in, your kids need some room to play sometimes

They help increase blood flow which does a lot of good for your body, problem is I get erections more often when wearing them, but they hide them better to

Why do you wear workout gear for swimming i though you have to wear a speedo or jammer type?

hudson19

well from my perspective as a bigger guy I can tell you I'm not a fan haha. I've tried to wear them and I really don't fit in them, they're terrible for me haha. However some general tightness is normal with them so just wear them and see if you get used to it. If it truly is uncomfortable, maybe try going up a size or wearing boxer briefs

Nike Pro is supposed to be tight. I have different types cuz I run too. So for running their made so when I sweat it cools me down instead of heating me up. Then everyday I just wear the normal compression shorts ... I have like 9 of them because they are so comfortable. It also helps with hiding boners... FYI:D
