Choir. I just picked up a lot of phrases and words. I can't say that I can speak any of them and my grammar would be atrocious but if I see something written in Spanish, Italian, French, Latin, German, etc, I can usually get the gist of it by using context clues.
(Okay, French only sorta counts there 'cause I actually can speak it but same idea.)
I've performed pieces in about ten different languages at last count so you just start seeing patterns and recognizing words after awhile.

Interesting that you speak English better. All of my family except my little brother and I speak Dutch. I am a citizen of the Netherlands, but only lived there a few months when I was a little kid. This summer, my brother and I are going to visit my grandparents in Amsterdam for 3 weeks, and they only speak a little English. That should be interesting.

My native is English, and I'm in the process of learning french in school but I doubt I will become fluent unless I want to carry it on after school. A lot of my family is Italian so I may pursue that instead, for i can basically get it for free.

English is my natural language, but I am pretty fluent in Spanish because I had to take it in school. I picked up on it well, until level IV, when I quit lol.
I also know a little bit of German, as my mother lived there for a few years as a child due to her father being military.
