In my high school a lot of the guys wear boxer briefs after wearing boxers in junior high. boxer briefs and trunks actually hold stuff in place and many times looks way better. there are still though plenty of guys who wear boxers. not too many briefs though some do

In primary school till year 3/4 most people I went school with wore briefs ( pants in English) then changed to boxers briefs/trunks and boxers. Most people I know wear boxers briefs like SethfromMI said they hold your junk in place better and hind things better.

A lot of my friends wear boxer briefs, some wear boxers so I guess these are the most common types of underwear of boys at our age. I personally wear a range of boxerbriefs and briefs because I find them the most comfortable.

In the UK, for me it seemed like up until age 11, most people wore briefs and then switched to boxers/boxer briefs, I think a lot by aged 16 wore boxer briefs, but those 'less confident' probably stuck with looser fitting underwear - 'cooler' kids definitely wore tighter.

pretty much the same here : I guess most boys I know wore briefs in primary school and switched to boxer briefs/trunks in middle school
I followed the move then because most boys did it, but I have reswitched to mainly briefs now

It hasn't changed with me and with my friends. We've all worn briefs forever. Me and my friends have discussed moving on to boxer briefs or boxers but the problem of boners stops us. You can not simply hide a boner in boxers, and so me and my friends have stayed with briefs, yet now as our junk gets bigger, all of us can be seen 'adjusting' most of the time. Its about time to move on to boxer briefs, I would suppose.
And yes it has got to do with bigger junk and it feels great to rub your penis against the fabric (and cum), boxers allow this.
