Since I stopped doing track after my freshman year I feel like I've lost my aggility and any muscle that I've once had. I want to get in shape again but i don't have much energy/motivation. I'm not sure if it's because I'm lacking protein (I'm vegetarian)

I don't think motivation is really influenced by diet :P
I guess the only good motivation is to stay in shape and have fun, atleast that's for me.

If you don't have the willpower to motivate yourself i suggest bringing someone with you to the gym that you don't wanna look weak in front of. Pride is a great motivator. Bring someone you who works out a lot, has the ability to convince u, and you don't wanna look bad in front of.

This sounds awfully vain but watching myself exercise noticing all the muscle gain and ab improvement just makes really satisfied with how I look which in turn motivates me

you got to ask yourself what do I want which will helped be achieved by exercising(body, etc.) . then set some goals and work towards those goals. not just a general, lose weight, but say, I want to lose 5 pounds or whatever, so you can see and measure the results

it could be. when you start eating healthier and working out more you are going to start having more energy

You start with a routine you find manageable then you start increasing the amount of exercise you do the easier it gets, so you get stronger the more you do which then let's you do more intense workouts

You've just got to get back into it and when you see gains you'll become motivated again

I know what you mean about feeling "too tired". But I honestly think that's all mental. Your body can do so much more than you'd think. The hardest part is not letting your mind tell you you can't. Mind over matter.

I usually look at pictures of really hot, fit people. Though I'm not sure that's the healthiest way to get motivated.

Find a protein supplement. But also get some active friends! Being active is so much more easy and fun doing it wih people

For motivation I would say setting goals can be useful. Like, say if you were to go running or something you could aim to do a certain distance or say maybe a sponsored run for charity. Having a reason and a final goal and being determined to reach it is good.
For energy.. Having good sleep and meals is necessary for energy. Do you sleep well and have a good diet?

Make it fun, by either doing it with someone or running to a beat or something like that

Like everybody said, get someone to work out with you, running or whatever exercise or sport you feel like doing, even mix it up to keep it interesting. And when during the day do you feel less tired? Early morning, after school, early at night?
