Need help

Hey guys, being a socially awkward Asian teen whose parents won't let him go out on a 1 on 1 date, how can I ask somebody out? My current plan of action is probably to ask them if they'd like to come with me and my friends to whatever we're doing, but if we do both like each other, how do I keep it going? I can't just keep going to the movies every week, because we'd run out of movies and me and my friends are gamers so we don't exactly get out much.

To sum it up, any tips on dating somebody long-ish term? Thanks :)

well in your situation what you proposed is a good idea right now. why won't your parents let you go on a date by yourself? at any rate, if they will let you go out in groups, try to go somewhere with a group of friends and go places. maybe try to strikea deal with your parents if they get to know the person better, they will let you date them and go out with just them

Well my mother sort of has a "No girlfriends allowed because I'm asian" policy, but my dad is more lenient saying that if I do get a girlfriend, she can't get in the way of study, but still won't let me go out on a 1 on 1 date (I've asked him about this before). My main question thought is, how do I continue once we like each other? How can I keep going out? I can't really get my friends to go to a movie every week. Being who I am, I'm not sure exactly what's expected. Am I expected to like, go out every week? More than once a week? I honestly have no clue :/

are there any other friends you can go with? sadly, your in a tough position where there is not much you may not be able to do. um, def talk to her on the phone, online, hang out with her when you can, but your in a very tough situation

Apart from what all Seth suggested you could ask your parents for how long would the rule be valid or how older do they think you should be before they think you are responsible enough to handle your life yourself maturely. Also you could go out with your "potential" girlfriend covertly (without your parents necessarily knowing, in the guise of going out with some friends I guess or anything) if you are comfortable with the idea.
