View Full Version : How much do you make?

If you're comfortable sharing, how much money do you make at your job?

I earn the Santa Clara County minimum of $9USD/hr at Jamba Juice. That's below the corporate usual for the industry I work for - most major chains/corporations in low-end foodservice (like Starbucks) around here give $10 or $11/hr. We did just become a franchised location though (vs stingy ass Jamba Juice corporate), so maybe some raises are in the making.

In the summer I work for my brothers construction company and make 12 a hour. We mostly work on college dorms and BC its under the table I pay no taxes on it and can work 9 hours a day. I jut demo walls. And hot coeds everywhere.

Depends, I don't have asingle job, I have many odd jobs, frixing things, computers/cas/bikes/anything, so I just get paid depending on how often things break or need lifting or moving, and how often people call on me to do it.

I usually get about £30-40 a week doing it. But sometimes I have...other...things to do...and they pay well...

I usually babysit on the weekends since I'm so busy with performing lately to hold a committed job. I usually get 5 dollars per hour.

I babysit and just got a raise, I get $8 an hour. Below the average for babysitters here, but she said she's planning to go up again soon.

I make $9.50/hr at Forever 21 currently, doing 28 hrs a week, making around ~$850 a month.

I'm starting at H&M in May, and I'll be making $13/hr, doing 35 hours a week, so i'll be making nearly $1300 a month.

Minimum wage in NY State is $8.75 (completely unlivable).

And then the government taxes the shit out of it and I'm left with like nothing. But all I'll say is of you can get into pipeline work in the US. Do it. They pay laborers $16 an hour starting and usually get a raise in 6 months. The more you can do the more you make. Our welders make like $100-$150 an hour

Right now I get $8.23 and hour regular but when I log onto the cash register I get $9 something an hour for that time. I'll never get a raise but I plan on applying for a summer job at the city courts for around 30 hours a week at minimum wage

When I get work labouring I make £40 a day or maybe a little more. Once I finish my college course I'll be making £14 an hour + labour+ materials.

Last winter I made $11 an hour as a ski instructor. I only male that cause I have experience, otherwise it would be $10 I'm guna work for a landscape company this summer doing lawns and stuff making $12.50 an hour a day or 2 a week. I guess that's not bad considering my age.

My boyfriend has a job offer at a small construction company as a laborer once he turns 18 in a couple weeks and pays him $15 an hour, think that's pretty good. But it's mostly picking up heavy shit and taking it to the top of a roof. So I'm good with that myself lol!!

400 BRL half-time which is around 100 dollars or 1.2 dollars the hour... It's actually not too bad for Brazilian standards...

1.2 dollars an hour, not sure if we're getting the translation right but may seem a bit low depending on currency I guess?

It is... just looked it up, 400 BRL/mo. is 112 USD or 1.4 USD/h on 20-hour weeks. The real is shit, but many products here are less pricy, I think. I'm an intern, but really, most brazilian salaries are terrible... If you earn ~3k a month you're far above average, and that's still less than 1k USD monthly.

WOW!!
That's a huge difference. To make minimum wage here it's like $10 per hour, and you can't live in that. So if I had a full time job paying that for 40 hours a week, I'd make $400 a week, and be pretty poor really, can't really support a family on that here.
