cheating is and always will be wrong. however, what is also wrong is teachers can be literally fired for poor testing scores (depending on the situation, it can happen). their jobs depend on students doing their best and many students don't bother trying at those types of tests. that is also, unfair

Yeah it's all pretty useless. They try to base the teachers ability based on the test scores. Some kids are just too slow/under skilled/etc

so again, while cheating is wrong, I can understand why teachers feel so pressured to cheat. that whole system needs to be changed, because it is really useless as you pointed out. those tests do not even usually do a great job at truly measuring a kids true ability

Cheating is wrong plain and simple. However I do understand why these educators may have resorted to this because as Seth mentioned teachers can get fired for reporting failing test scores and with that its not the fault of the teacher (unless they are horrible at their job) but the student because its their fault that they're failing these tests because at the end of the day its them taking the test, not the teachers and the stress added on may cause some to alter those grades in order to save their jobs. Now if you are changing these kids grades so that you can get a bonus or rise in pay grade then you deserve to be caught, you deserve to be stripped of your teaching certifications, and you deserve to be prosecuted.
