New piercing

Hey, i'm 16 and male.
I want a piercing in my ear but a friend told me that each side has a different meaning. Do you know something about this?

Well, it depends

A shitload of things have "meaning" to them- or at least they do in some areas/did at first

Tbh I like to think of my septum piercing as cultural; it was basically a symbol of badass warriors in my culture

But I think of my tats, stretched ears, and other earrings as ornamental/self-expression.

Imo, it's up to you
