Do you really want to get circumcised?
he circumcision procedure typically involves the following steps:

The glans and foreskin are separated to fully expose the coronal groove (the ridge that defines the glans of the penis). This step is only performed for young boys, when the glans and the foreskin have not fully separated;
Any smegma is removed. Smegma is a white pasty substance made up of dead cells which previously held the foreskin and glans together;
The foreskin is replaced in its normal position (i.e. covering the glans);
A ventral surface, that is a cut in the foreskin on the upper side of the penis, is made using scissors;
A second slit is made on the underside of the penis;
The foreskin is cut away around the rim of the coronal groove;
The edges of the foreskin are pulled back;
Blood vessels are tied off using absorbable stitches or by diathermy, which is a procedure in which an electrical current is used to heat the ends of the blood vessels;
The edges of the foreskin are stitched.
Following the procedure a dressing which goes around the penis is not applied, as the glans may become damaged if it swells while there is a bandage around it.
There's the procedure. Your erection will be normal, albeit it painful for a while

Following circumcision, men should wear loose fitting briefs and clean the wound daily for 5-7 days. After a week the patient should recommence normal hygiene practices (i.e. washing the wound in the shower).

Men must avoid any kind of sexual arousal for six weeks following the surgery, as an erection is likely to interfere with the wound healing process.

It is common for men to experience erections during their sleep. In the period immediately following circumcision this may cause some discomfort because the stitches are pulled when the penis becomes erect. This discomfort is normal and men should not worry about it. It will settle down one or two weeks after the operation.

Hope this helps, PM me if you want anymore helps,
VC

Just put your foot down and say NO! It is religious bullshit and it's your body to do what you want to! Christianity has NOTHING to do with circumcision, it's a JEWISH thing!!!

It will be sore at first. It'll hurt of course but then your body will be used to it. Just follow the healing process and you'll be fine. Good luck

its not a question of your parents want you circumcised but do you want to be circumcised and from what iv heard you'll be in pain for a few weeks and its nothing like what your dad described they only use that method on babies youll be put under anesthetics and theyll use a scaple to cut the skin away and then you got all the risks that come with surgery on top of potential complications. this isnt a decision your parents should make this a decision you need to make your old enough now to decide whether you get circumcised or not

The thing is do you really want to get circumcised it's your body if you don't want to you should say no I won't do. If you do then I'm guessing it will be quite sensitive and sore for a while

You'll likely to get an injection in the base of your dick to numb the area. But once it starts to work you won't feel a thing till it starts to wear off. Your head will be extremely sensitive at first then it will youll get used to it. Go a day with your foreskin reattached then you'll get an idea of how it will feel. Do you even want it done ?

I think that there is a limit age for certain things.

I got circumcised (happily) when I was a baby. It would have been nice that if your parents wanted you to be cut, get you circumcised time ago and not now that you're 14 yo.

At your age, I consider that it's YOU who have to decide getting cut or not and not your parents.

Now, about your questions, you'll get anesthesia so you won't feel anything and erections would perturb you a couple of months but you've to make a decision taking in consideration the rest of your life (70 years) and not just the period of 1 month.

Honestly, as I haven't had the procedure, so I don't really know what it is like. Some people say it's the most painful ever, while others say they barely felt a thing. I suppose it altogether depends on how tolerant you are to pain. Recovering times vary, but I think everyone else has posted all that info. But yes, it will hurt for a few days, and waking will be different, but you will recover fully.

My personal opinion is that you shouldn't get circumcised unless it is medically necessary for you to do so. There is a lot of evidence that circumcision removes a lot of sensitivity, which does make sense to me personally, but know that they haven't really proved any of that as that kind of research is always very subjective.

The best piece of advice that I have seen is this:

At your age, I consider that it's YOU who have to decide getting cut or not and not your parents.

This is something that is totally your decision. If you don't want to do it, but your father says you must, then in the presence of the doctor, simply say "I do not want this, I refuse" and it won't happen.

From a Christian religious point of view, while Christians respect Abraham's covenant with God, we believe that covenant was fulfilled with the coming of Jesus Christ. Therefore as a Christian, there is no requirement to be circumcised and no advantage to it. Some believe that as a Christian you shouldn't masturbate, and being circumcised prevents you (or makes it more difficult for you) from masturbating, but I don't see anything morally wrong with masturbation and certainly being cut will not stop you, nor make it difficult to masturbate, so if that is why your father wants it done, it's kind of stupid.

Hope this helped :)

Woh woh woh Christianity does not require or even recommend circumcision and you should have it done, you loose lots of sensitive nerves for pleasure, it could look a little strange and it's simply not necessary

My advice would be to watch a medical video of the procedure yourself. Then make your decision from there.

I'm sorry for your loss though, if you do get it done :(

Are your parents in any way forcing you to get circumcised?
Do you agree with them?
How do you feel?

I'm guessing you're only asking for the surgical procedure of a circumcision. There are many ways to get circumcised, but before all of this happens, they will either use local or general anesthesia (depends on what your parents/you're willing to use). Local anesthesia are injected around the base of the penis to numb the area, where as general anesthesia gas puts you to sleep/unconsciousness (not like dead). After the circumcision, the pain varies for every person. They will give you medication to relieve the pain and they will use stitches, in most cases, would dissolve/fall off after several weeks. You should not masturbate while it's healing and you will get erections as this is pretty common. Clean it, daily.

it depends, urologists have different methods for doing it : some use some plastic ring and leave it for a few days, some use metal stuff and just cut around and put on stitches

at first your glans becomes oversensitive, but it gets its normal sensistiveness after a while

I was cut at 12, you can pm me if u want ;)

One of to ways they inject you with pain painkiller like I was or they put you to sleep
Secondly they use two pressure clumps to grip the foreskin or they put a device on that does the same to hold in place then use scalpel to cut around it if no this they use and I recommend the lazer painless and then cut and then drug with whatever and you feel no pain after because of the drugs they give you make sure you take and have at least 5 days worth and then just itching when healing and yes you may get hard and it can swell I recommend you lay down and don't move for 5 days at least I only did the min 3 days and you will regret and not wearing pants is good just lose stuff baggy pants but don't walk around unless toilet very important to keep it clean after you go as well very important the stitches disappear and break off after 10 or so days unless you make it worse then a bit longer the last few take to break down also they can give you something to less chance of erections
I was cut at 18 about two months ago now

False depending on how there cut and if the frenulum is left intact tell then you want it left intact I left this out sorry and also med way down cut is better more sensitive I found it then before felt better then ever and if you have it loose a little its good too but not too loose tight but not very tight fellow this and it will be better instead of the opposite I can tell you so long as you follow that its better if not the same as before good luck my friend but if you don't do it the choice is always yours BTW I read a lot about it and experienced it I had laser and scissors the scissors hurt but its bearable and I am a very sensitive person as doctors say :p the blazer not pain with the injections they give before but the scissors you feel

I am uncut too , and I don't know very much about circumcision . Google it , I think that there are different ways to circumcise . But if you're not having problems with your foreskin , I don't see reason for circumcision . If you're against it , tell them , don't let them circumcise by force .
