Usually make sure I am alone in my room and have some tissues nearby. If my parents are awake I make sure there's nothing impeding my hearing so I can here them if they come down the hall towards my room, make sure I have a way to cover up un-suspiciously and quickly if they come to my room, and I make sure there's something else I have to do (like have my computer or a video game on) so if they do come in I don't look suspicious for sitting there and doing nothing.
