Sometimes it's not easy to read guys. Just pay attention to the way they talk, act, act with others, dress, etc... That can give you an idea but it's not always going to be easy. If you're comfortable with asking , it doesn't hurt, but do it privately.

^^^Very true. The best way to go about this is to be friends first, that way you can feel comfortable around each other, and then I would suggest bringing up LGBT+ topics, such as equal rights, etc... and see how they react. Then, whether you want to or not, based off of the previously ascertained information, it might be worth looking into asking them about their sexuality.

Oh god, I don't know about that. I mean as long as he gets to know him first to see if he likes guys, I don't see why they would do that. If he touches him, I know usually straight guys will just shove or push you off them. I don't know about punching and stuff.

But it's best to ask him if he likes guys first rather than just invade his body and space like that.

whatever it is his sexuality is really non of your concern until he wants to tell you and even then he may be unsure himself. Maybe you just want to be friends first then see how things go. never easy but you seem just to have the attraction without knowing them, hopefully this will sort out well for you.

You never know, not all straight guys will be in content of shoving. Some would do so. So that's why never assume. I'm not saying you're wrong. Its just that in this world, you never know what'll happen next.

I can usually tell, not by what they look like, but just the vibes they give me in general. Also, I know it s dumb but if your desperate, look at his hands XD if his ring finger is longer or about the same length as his index, he might be gay, and if the fingerprint ridges of his left thumb are very close together, that's also a sign. I've tried it on every gay guy I know, and they all had at least one of the two, and all the for sure straight guys I've tried it on haven't had either of those tests work. Just saying, it's a lot of coincidences XD
