Can anyone give advice to beginners who are inflexible and want to do the splits (front and side?). I'm starting ballet around the beginning of summer. I want to be able to improve my flexibility. What should I eat? What are stretches that I can follow on a daily basis? Stretches that focus on the uppers part of the body is fine as well.

well, nothing special about food. Use exercises that are comfortable for you, especially ones for ballet dancer are good. Just remember to warm your muscles before and do everything slooooowly, like 20-30 sec staying in each position.
