do you have bad dreams, long fingernails?

You could just be scratching yourself in the middle of the night and not remembering it, that's entirely possible if the scratches are just on the surface.

Just sounds as if you've been scratching yourself during the night and it would be appreciated if you didn’t use the term emo in such a way.

Nothing to worry about, I think. I used to wake up most every morning with at least one new bruise on my legs. Sometimes they'd be fairly large, too. Turned out I was just a crazy sleeper at the time and I was often inadvertently kicking myself or the wall as I slept. That was also during the peak of my depression, and as I got better, the bruises stopped appearing. If this is happening a lot and it hasn't always happened, maybe look at whats going on in your life. Are you stressed about something? If so, eliminating the stress may help with the scratching. Either way, it should stop happening on its own at some point. Just try to keep your nails from getting too long in the meantime.

Try to relax before you go to bed each night so you sleep more soundly.

Yeah I often shake when I sleep so when my girlfriend sleeps over (yes she does I technically have a parent but she only by law can only give me a place to live= no rules) has to hold me over I might hurt myself.
