how normal is it to be turning 15 in May and basically be smooth still? I've got a sparse amount of pubic hair above my penis and not a single hair under my arms.:whoops:

Some people develop earlier than others and vise versa. It's all a part of puberty. Nothing you can really do about it.

Isn't turning 15 way late though?
Uranus
March 17th, 2015, 10:52 AM
Absolutely not. Puberty ranges from 13(And younger) all the way up to 20. You still have plenty of time to develop. Some start earlier, some start later, some develop quicker, some develop slower.
birdbrain01

it's just a little bit embarrassing in the locker rooms when younger kids are way more developed
Uranus
March 17th, 2015, 11:09 AM
Don't feel embarrassed about that. We are all different in many ways. I'm not sure, but maybe your family doctor might be able to get you some hormone medicine that might speed up your development. I suggest doing some research and talking with your parents before doing so.

I've had under arm hair for a year now, and I'm 13.

March 17th, 2015, 11:47 AM
my cousin turned 11 in January and he already has armpit hair. and I just started growing pubic hair about 3 months ago.
I'm assuming that if he's got armpit hair he's already got pubic hair as well.

Don't worry. You're just a late developer. Some guys develop later than others. Some
earlier. Some guys don't finish puberty until they're in their early 20's

Yeah, if you armpit hair, you definitely have pubic hair.
You're just a late bloomer

I actually saw my doctor just before my 14th birthday and he said that I had already started puberty because my testicles were already growing bigger. Even though I just started growing pubic hair about 3 months ago.

Lucky dog, I wish I was smoother. I guess it's just a matter of preference, or something you crave for. You have no hair - you want it. You have lots of hair - you want to get rid of it

what nationality are you? Because I noticed that a lot of the Hispanic kids all seemed to have started puberty at around 11 years old whereas most of the white kids seemed like it was around 12 or 13 years old.
even though my cousin is white and he started about the same time as you

Tbh I don't know if I had armpit hair at late 14. I think it was sometime when I was 15. It's funny because I used to be quite underdeveloped compared to others and now I'm 6ft 1 and quite hairy on the stomach chest and other places haha. Just not face, damn.

I don't think that guys that started puberty early really understand how difficult it is to be a late bloomer.

Gosh, I wish I was as lucky as you. I was pretty developed from 10/11 onwards. You may think I am 'boasting' about this - Anything but. I hated it. It caused me to have some of the most depressed years I have ever experienced. Imagine being the only guy in your year to have a deep(er) voice, hair on your legs etc., mood swings etc. It was horrible.
My point is - The grass is always greener on the other side.
I hated hitting puberty early, you hate hitting puberty late. The difference is, we both end up the same way at some point. I know it's hard, I had the complete opposite experience that you are having - But you just have to embrace it. There's no way to you can speed it up or cover it up. Try your best to ignore anyone who may tease you about it, it's just them being immature and being a massive jerk.
Hope it all goes well for you, PM me if you want to chat about it :)

Lol. you're like the first person I've encountered that was an early bloomer and didn't like it. My cousin who just turned 11 in January is quite proud of the fact that he's had hair since before he turned 11. I've got friends on both spectrumsI have 4 friends that all started about 11 years old and a few friends that started late like me and one guy still hasn't started yet. all of my early blooming friends seemed perfectly fine with it they were quite proud that they already had hair
one of my early blooming friends still has dry orgasms which I find interesting. because he's 14 and started puberty when he was 11.

I wouldn't worry about it. People develop at different times. Frankly, I'd enjoy what hairless time you have left because grooming (if you choose to do so) can get to be a hassle.

Don't worry about it. Having hair doesn't really mean anything unless you want it. A lot of guys shave their pubic hair . Sometimes I trim my armpit hair because i don't like it .

Just be thankful you don't have to go through the times of shaving. It's difficult, boring, and messy. I'd be glad to not have to do all that.

Good point. I am 14, 15 this coming summer, and I am pretty smooth all over -- with the exceptional bush of pubes above my peen -- but I figure I will develop in my own time. Dont stress it, youll catch up.

Don't worry dudes. It is different with everyone in some cases you start early and in other cases you don't get any real body hair till 16. No worries it will come just have patience. And smooth is what girls and guys like anyways I mean most of the guys shave to stay smooth XD and you don't have to do that so just see yourself as lucky.

I don't want a lot of hair just some hair that's all. Just let enough that girls don't think I'm prepubescent.
sdude
March 28th, 2015, 10:31 AM
If u have pubes, armpit hair probably won't be far behind...however, depending on your genes and hair color, they might be sparse or light-colored and not show for awhile. Has your voice changed? If so, they know u aren't pubescent. Or u can just walk around with a hard-on all day and everyone will know...lol. Relax, it will happen soon, and first u will love it, then you will wonder how u got so damn hairy!!l
