I wanted to start using the pill, but they all have side effects like menstrual disorders or bleeding between periods or weight gain:eek:, are there any versions of the pill that don't have such extreme side effects
Also since I live in the UK is there anywhere where I can just walk in and buy the pill with no questions asked(nothing dodgy though).

Every medication has some sort of side effect. You will have to talk to your doctor to determine what type of birth control is the best for you.
I'm not 100% sure on this one but I'm pretty sure you have to be prescribed the pill. Again, talk to your doctor. Going on birth control is not always a walk in the park, make sure you do it right.

I don't know about the side effects of the pill because well... I'm not a female and will never have to have it but I do know that you cannot buy the pill in the UK, you must have it prescribed by a doctor.

The first time i went to see a nurse in a medical clinic (CLSC) and she told me it's better to see a doctor , too .. the cost is about $20 for a 28 pack pills if i remember well ..but now i pay nothing because my mom has a prescription drug insurance plan... if you have any problem, side effects go to see your doctor, tell him and maybe he 'll change your pills, and yes i had irregular periods at the beginning..

There are potential side effects to all variations of the pill, but that doesn't mean you definitely will suffer from those side effects. Sometimes it's best to talk to your doctor, try something out, and if it gives you problems, you can try a different version.
Most likely the side effects will be minimal.

You cant really take birth control without the risk of side affects. Your basically taking synthesized hormones to trick your body into thinking its stuck in one phase of your cycle. Messing with those hormone levels cause those side effects. It hits everyone differently, most people can take it without problems, but you don't know how it will affect you until you start taking it. If it was me I would see a doctor once just to get an idea of whats going on and then buy them discreetly if you can.
~Not a girl but APBIO and we had to learn about this... it was like heath 2.0 but 10x more awkward lol
