Every once in awhile when I try to log-in, I get a vBulliten Message saying the server is too busy and to try again in two minutes. And that's pretty much all it says and it seems quite similar to the past errors we had, only a little bit different. Any one care to shed some light on the subject?

Same for me but it was only an hour or so yesterday.

I logged back on just moments before I posted this thread.. So yes
It's an error message that showed up on VT itself and it said the server is too busy. It didn't re direct me to something else it just popped up on VT. Similar as when when the site is down due to maintenance that the administrators post about. Thought that might help

Usually when this happens, I just wait 15-20 mins and then check again, if the same message pops up, I wait again.

Yes, we were already aware of the issue and are actively looking into ways to fix it. It rarely lasts more than 5-10 minutes, and has happened only a handful of times, so at the moment it's no major inconvenience.

I had this problem yesterday but I figured it is just something which naturally happens from time to time on a site like this

Thank you! However I don't believe it was the site directly for me. During that time my cell phone has been seriously acting up and is now fixed. I only use VT through mobile, but thanks anyway.

It wasn't actually just you. :P Despite the three other people in this thread who mentioned having the same issue, we were receiving spikes in server load at those time, so it was something the host was doing, probably some sort of maintenance.

Either way, it should be completely fixed now

Well, sometimes servers can get overloaded. And since VT doesn't have a web server the size of Google's, the demand might be too much on the server. Or, like StoppingTime said, the host may have been tinkering with it.

It's annoying but it's usually only down for a few minutes.
