Hey guys, I thought I would get your opinion on if the earth could indeed be flat, I say it's round, but what do you think after reading a few articles on the above site?

No. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNqNnUJVcVs)

And to add on, this kind of pseudo-science just baffles me. I don't understand the drive or rationale for people to hold these theories...when there's clearly so much evidence against them that it's nonsensical to even mention a "flat earth."

This is almost like the "Christians Against Dinosaurs" lady that was posted a few weeks ago, I think. It's just ridiculous...

Apparently this is driven by religion? I'm not sure but I saw some mentionings of it on the other parts of that site.

Yeah....no. How can people even believe this? Pretty sure when you're in space it looks round. And there is enough evidence that indicates the earth is round.

It's hard to believe that anyone in 2015 with access to a computer (to post on that forum) could possibly believe this.

I'm not sure if this was meant to be a joke or not (both the thread and that link).

I'm not sure about the link, or even my own thread, it seemed like nonsense but I wondered if anyone here might believe in it.

There are people who actually think mankind has never gone to the Moon, so I'm not really impressed...

Sorry to be that person but...
Technically speaking the earth isn't totally round, it sorta bulges at the equator and flattens at the poles. For all intensive purposes it can be called round, but not a true sphere.

Yeah, okay.
And the world is 6,000 years old, humans rode dinosaurs, and being gay is a choice.

You understand that it's a troll site right?

No it's obviously wrong, they're arguing on a technicality. Just because you can't prove beyond doubt that it's false doesn't mean it's automatically true.

Earth is round folks. Get used to it.

No. Anyone who claims to believe that is lying for attention, a unbelievably unintelligent person, or insane.

Lol, Moon is round, Sun is round, Why Earth is flat? Their ideas are very insane, maybe they see the Moon is also flat if the believers of them landed on that place...

"Flat" is such a meaningless term. There is no such thing as a 2D shape, therefore there is no such thing as a "flat" object. If they mean a "flat" 3D object, then where is the objective point at which something becomes "flat"? Ugh, this is a non-debate.

It's simple, these are clearly not rational people, they're idiots.
