Sure if I'm just getting laid and single I'll please myself when and if I feel necessary. When I'm in a relationship though I've learned to commit. Wasn't always easy but SO worth it.

It's completely normal to masturbate while in a relationship. There is nothing bad about it or anything against your partner for doing it

Actually, this is completely normal and you don't have to "control yourself". There are studies that suggest getting yourself off before bed actually allows you to sleep better at night. As for in the morning, urges are urges. If you're comfortable doing it, then go ahead. If you think it's too much then you can ignore it. Eventually your body will just give up. Honestly, it's not going to do anything to your relationship with your girlfriend. Sex and masturbation are two very different things. Same organs, typically a similar experience but some people like to do it alone, some like a partner, and some like both. If she ever asks about it ('cause she may feel like she's not doing enough to please you), just make sure she knows that it's not her. You just have a high libido and you're okay with doing it yourself if that's how you feel.

I'm going to agree with the last few people above me have said. It's very normal to feel the need to masturbate even when you are in an ongoing relationship that involves sex.

Most of, if not all of the time - there isn't really a "schedule" for when you and your partner will have sex (if that's part of the relationship). It's probably not an everyday thing, and there may be times where you go for awhile and there is no sex at all. It happens, whether it just doesn't feel right or other circumstances prevent it.

It's also normal when masturbating to think about previous (or possible future) experiences with your current sexual partner - even shortly after having sex with them.

I'm the same way. A lot of the time if I have sex more frequently, I masturbate more often as well. I think once the hormones get going, it's hard to shut them off.
