So I've started sinking into a deep dark hole of what is called "existential crisis," again. I have a question for you, maybe you will be able to help me out.

What should I devote my life to? Sometimes I think, if nothing is eternal and the world will come to its end eventually then why even bother? But this is not an option to sit and do nothing, time is running out and I'm already that old. Sometimes I just think fuck it and want to devote myself to hedonism, but that biological need for a purpose keeps coming back. I have tried painting, writing, programming, exercising etc. It all seems meaningless. I don't have any hobbies that I would like to pursue. I like gaming, drawing... But those are not the things that I would want to devote my life to. Sometimes I think that I should pursue a career related to politics and change some things in a fun way, but again, in a grand scheme of things that would be pointless.
So what do you think? How to find that thing that I should commit my life's meaning to? Should there even be such a thing?

I don't like to bother anyone with my first world problems but this has been eating me for a long time and I'm tired of procrastinating because of it.

Oi atom, have you thought about volunteering for some form of charity? It might help you find meaning and also let you reach to other people and try something different in your life.

And I'm not from a first world country myself and you don't have to apologize, everyone thinks about the meaning of their life. It's amazing that you actually want to do something productive unlike lazy asses like me.
