Ok so recently my face was GROSS as lol so I decided i needed to buy a razor and some shaving cream and clean myself up abit. But i have no money so id need to get my mum or dad to buy me the razor ect. I am not the most open of people so i though it would be hella awkward but it wasnt i more or less said "could you get me a razor when you go to the store next?" And surprisingly it wasn't weird. I shaved and it was good no cuts at all. But i have a question do you guys cut against the grain or with the grain. Also aside from. After shave what else can i use to moisturise the skin afterwards? Its dry and im getting alot of acne problems which i wanna clear up what do you guys use?

I cut with the grain. And after I shave I usually use rubbing alcohol to get rid of bumps quickly. But my skin is probably different from yours, but just make sure you keep your face clean. Especially after a shave.

I shave against the grain I think it gives a closer cleaner shave. I use a exfoliating cream once a week and use aftershave.

i Shave with the grain and then if i want to get an even closer shave after iv shaved against the grain ill quickly go over it against the grain and most shaving creams have a moisturizer in them but you can also get seperate moisturizers for after shaving as well which should help

Save with the grain and use shaving cream to prevent ingrown hairs

be careful what shave foam you use as that can dry your skin and also irritate.
You can wet face and apply a little moisturiser in stead of the shave foam. Keep the water cool.

Most people cut with it. If you have a cheap razor, like just a standard one, I usually cut against around my nose and that just so I get all the hair. If you cut against, the hair will be much shorter, but I find it also irritates the hell of my skin. As for aftershave, I usually use a cooling cream and then a cooling face wash. Most shaving kits come with it. Lotion may help for the dry skin.

Always cut with the grain, by cutting against it it will cause a too close cut, meaning that ingrowen hairs will form. it is pimples being caused, not acne, there is a slight difference, from what I understand acne is caused by hormones and pimples from dirt. So to get rid of the pimples caused by shaving you will just need to keep a constant cleansing routine, and moisturise :) but other then that dude you will just have to give it time until you're skin gets used to it, and used to having larger hairs coming through. You're face is sensitive, so don't over do it :D
