SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -Students from a Savannah high school got the chance to talk to students from halfway across the world on Thursday morning.* They had a Skype conversation with students from Jordan, regarding global issues.* Juniors in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme at Johnson High School met with 42 students from the Ahliyyah School for Girls in Amman, Jordan, who are in the same IB program.* The idea was for them to be connected in a real-time intercultural exchange. The class discussed cultural differences and similarities, as well as the impact of U.S. and Jordanian Governmental Policy on world events. The students and staff at the school hope to continue opeing these types of global conversations.
So yeah, me and my classmates actually talked to a couple students in Jordan in ode to gain more information on their point of view on ISIS and to see how they experienced high school over there. It was awesome. Here's the link: http://m.wtoc.com/wtoc/#/db/350145/content/4fc9Herb
The guy in the blue and white shirt is me of course.
