I am not sure it is a question of right or wrong as being ambiguous. Orgasm and ejaculation are two separate things which normally occur together. Calling semen "cum" makes it seem that cumming refers to ejaculating but people also use it to mean having an orgasm and, of course, the usual combined experience.

The only real way to handle this is to avoid the word completely if the distinction matters and use a more specific word.
