Advice from elders?

Have your parents ever told you and meaningful advice that really stuck with you? My mom has told me that when she was a kid and learning how to drive, she would argue back about supposedly bogus extra safety precautions on the road like waiting for other cars to come to a complete stop at an intersection before going, her dad would say "Oh you could be right. dead right."

I've always loved that saying because it shows that being right isn't everything in the world.

Absolutely. I also had a brother I was really close to....He taught me a lot of life lessons that still stick with me.
