I started masturbating only recently and about 4 days back while I tried penetrating for the first time, first with my finger, then with the back of a toothbrush I saw some blood come out. (My period isn't due anytime soon). I haven't penetrated since. Should I be concerned? Is this abnormal?

you may of broken your hymen which can bleed alittle bit. if your not in pain i wouldnt worry about it at all

Well you definitely could have broken your hymen which would cause vaginal bleeding.
However you might have torn some flesh while penetrating, since the back of a toothbrush isn't exactly something you'd normally penetrate with. Did there happen to be a sharp edge or something?

What thy all said. This happened to my first girlfriend who was about your age. I broke her cherry fingering her. I doubt a toothbrush was sharp enough to tear your vagina. Probably your hymen's gone.
