Hey thats good to look for ideas - maybe you miss your MUm I would - maybe make sure you have all your fav things and can you call or email MUm. Stay in touch with your friends as well.

There's not really a definitive way of preventing homesickness, but some tips I've heard before are keeping in contact with those you'd miss and maybe having some pictures of them in the place you will spend the most. I hope this is of some help.

I've never experienced homesickness so my advice is not entirely informed or accurate, but I can still try to help. Staying in touch with your Mum, memorable pictures that remind you of home, perhaps keeping a belonging of yours or your Mum's, writing in a journal, distracting yourself with an activity, or just simply talking to your nan could all maybe help a bit. I don't think it's preventable but you can definitely find ways to deal with it.

Honestly, there's no real way to prevent homesickness, because there will always be a point in time where you will remember home. You can attempt to distract yourself by doing things you like, but you know, of course during the times when you relax, for example, you're going to remember it. Just don't dwell on it, and hopefully you'll be able to make it through. c:
