Obama Insults Christians, Opens 'Extremism' Summit With Shocking Move.

What's the best way to kick off a White House summit on "countering violent extremism" If you're the dynamic duo, it's to invite Islam right into essentially preside over the event, opening it with Muslim prayer from an imam and making no mention of any of any other religion other than one disturbing note from Biden, blaming Christians for a myriad of violent murders.

He's not wrong. The only thing that's bad is that he's recycling speeches from W.

I don't really know what went on but if he only did what's you describe, I don't see that as an insult. More of like "I support the families that are suffering today due to all the wars"

This is my favourite line:

There is no verse in the Quran which would be appropriate at such a meeting as this — to allegedly combat terrorism — the very presence of the people who represent the religion that perpetuates the hate is an abomination.

Or perhaps this:

What he must really have meant, is that imams serve as assistants to terrorists to navigate their way into western cultures to destroy them from within.

But then I looked at the comments and decided this topped it all:

Who could have ever dreamed this Great Country could ever reach this low of a level of ethical behavior. Allowing the obvious enemy of the U.S. to lead a prayer from an insane book that is so barbaric it declares the sun revolves around the earth! The whack-O's are running the insane asylum!
These inbreds have no business spewing their hate & foolishness in this Great Country! Get out & take Obama & his family with you!

USA! USA! USA!

no mention from the commentards about how many Christians have been killed by extremists thanks to the US-led "liberation"? yeah I didn't think so.

I guess that would require the commentards to admit that 1) invading Iraq was a mistake from day one, and 2) that the United States is readily capable of making foreign policy screw-ups. doesn't seem that hard to admit but then again these people probably still have Bush-Cheney stickers on their trucks.

How many muslims has USA killed? Or have been killed by (other) extremists after "liberation"?

I'd guess quite a few.

it's just ironic that a lot of Christians support US intervention even though it ended up causing the deaths of many Christians in the Middle East.

Imam Sheikh Sa’ad Musse Roble, is president of the World Peace Organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I think this all really how some segments of the press will portray events. For as bad as things are we cannot condemn every member of every faith or religion.

The only way I classify an enemy is a threat to th well being of me and my countrymen. Enough making this a war on religion and make it a war on the individual

Not anywhere near as many by other muslims
The reasons they gave for the wars was to end that violence but I think it was really just economics and government power

yea I am christian and im not offended. every religion has bad parts/people to it. you cant judge whole religion by them. you don't judge christianity by westboro baptist church or by tim mcvey's bombing of federal building, so why judge everyone of muslim faith by the crazies? its double standard.
