I have never considered this to be a problem, as now days it is subconcious and I just do it on instinct, but I was wondering if this was in any way normal...
so when I look at electronic devices like computers or televisions, I always look at the screen at least 4 times, rapidly so nobody notices. Sometimes more. When I'm going outside, I look outside and then back in at least 4 times, again, sometimes more than that. I always have to have at least 5 unused google tabs open to the right of my main tabs, for no reason, and sometimes a lot more than that. Right now I have 10. Also, sometimes I'll touch something random, such as a light switch, a few times after using it. I never look at trees or the sky before looking at it and away and back again until it feels right. Because of this I tend to look at the ground.
I never really considered this to be a problem, since nobody in my family seems to have noticed( they never see my internet browsers, which would the most obvious to them).
I don't think most people do this, if not, do I just have weird habits? Should I try to fix them?

I was diagnosed with OCD when I was around 9, and that's one of the things I do too, except my number is 5. Since I started taking meds, it's gotten a lot easier to handle and control. You just have to remind yourself that nothing bad is going to happen if you don't do something 4 times.

I don't think they are weird habits, to me this sounds and looks like a sign of OCD. Often people with OCD feel the need to act out repetitive behaviours, which in your case is looking back and forth at something until it feels right. This type of behaviour is normal and common in people with OCD, so please don't worry that you are doing something weird : ) I suggest telling a family member about this so they can get you to go see a professional who will be able to tell you the right information.

I told my mom and she said it's perfectly normal and everybody does it :/
( she also said having panic attacks all the time is normal for my age, even though I've been having them since I was 11 & nobody else in my family has had them as often)

Your mother is perfectly wrong.

It isn't normal like others said it is OCD behaviour and if it's not dealt with early on it will become noticeable and a big problem.

There's nothing normal about regular panic attacks, you need to convince your mother of these things and start dealing with these things before they become a bigger problem.
