How far is your current commute to work, and how far would you be willing to go for a lower-end job (closer to minimum wage than full time wage)?

I only live a mile from work so it can take anywhere from 5-10 mins depending on traffic lights. I was thinking of exploiting the system and transferring up to San Francisco so I could get more money (their minimum wage there is what my General Manager makes here), but it would have to have significant gain for me in order to do that - I wouldn't commute 35 minutes to work just to work for 5 hours.

For both babysitting and my job at the living history museum are half an hour away but in opposite directions.

Depending on traffic, I can get to my job in 15-20 minutes

If I follow the speed limit and the roads are not icy, 15-20 mins.

If I go 75 mph and don't get stuck behind anybody, 10-15 mins.

Its all country driving too. 1 stop sign and 1 yield light, and I am good to go.

oh yeah and no police watch the road ever so yeah that helps.

Hahaha

Hahahahaha

I work in the minimum wage bracket, and probably will for quite a while :(

But yeah, I work a little under 2mi from home.

It depends on the time of day but it's usually around 6-7 minutes. If it's rush hour, maybe a little over 10 minutes. It's barely 3 miles from my house but I take a lot of residential streets to get there.
