So my friend, not me, asked me if i shaved all of the hair off my body. naturally, i said yes which led them to asking me how(my friend is very open with me). i didnt know how to explaain to him that it was normal for guys to shave facial AND lower body hair. so my question is- what should i tell him and should i tell him any techniques if any he should use?

There isnt really any techniques lol. Just take a razor and shave your facial and pubic hair. My advice, have him do it all while he is in the shower. The continuous water from the shower will serve as a lubricant for the razor blades and reduce irritation afterwards. And tell him to always use a regular hand shaver!!!! Do not let him use a electric razor!!! Electric ones will cut you extremely easily!!!

How will an electric shaver cut you more easily than wet shaving with a razor?

There's nothing wrong with wanting to shave off all your body hair. It's a preference.

I guess its easy to figure out so you just say what you feel able to.

Well he's your friend. He might be asking because he's curious on how to shave, because he might not shave. It's up to you if you want to explain it to him, not us.

If you guys are that open, then go for it. You can share techniques if you really want, but honestly, I'm pretty sure he can figure out how to slide a razor along his pubic area.

Wet shaving with a manual razor (like a razor made by Gillette) is easier and safer than using an electric shaver. This is mainly because the skin on your privates is thinner than the rest of the skin on your body. And because of this, the moving blades on a electric shaver have a greater risk of cutting the skin than a manual hand razor does.

It will pull the hair into the electric razor and rip your skin out.....very bad news...

Why would it pull your hair out?
Millions of people use electric shavers every day. They still have skin...

And why do you think people dump their electric razors and go back to regular razors??? They get tired of the pulling..Also, unless you trim your pubes first with scissors, the hair clogs up the razor and makes it dull...which pulls your skin, etc....a straight edge razor is the best...that and plenty of soap or shaving cream.

yeah, if hes really a close friend then there is nothing wrong with letting him in on your secrets of trimming and shaving, maybe showing him a trick or two.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to shave off all your body hair. It's a preference.
I shave my body, all of it except my pubes which I trim/shave, but I have very little body hair & it's blond. Two reasons; (a) I'm a swimmer & I have to; (b) I love to do it.
I don't like using a razor on my legs or armpits, so I use Nair, a cream that breaks down the hair so it falls off. I don't go by the instructions, but anyone trying this should try it that way first to see if it works for you. The time it says to leave it on is not enough time for my hair to break down. And my hair is very fine so I don't understand those directions.
NOTE: If you have lots of leg hair, I recommend trimming off as much as you can first, to make the Nair work easier because it won't have tons of hair to work on. If you've been shaving or whatever and there's little hair, then proceed. If you have no way to trim, then put extra amounts of Nair on to completely saturate your leg hair.
Before you begin, set a timer or put your watch on the bathroom counter and note the time so you don't exceed the time you want to have it on.
So I leave it on for 15 minutes BUT NO LONGER! I begin by applying a liberal amount of Nair all over my legs, ankle to crotch, but DO NOT get it on your balls! It will burn because your scrotum skin is too sensitive. You also can NOT use it on your butt-hole! Same reason. Then I apply to my pits.
Then I trim/shave my pubes, shave my balls, perineum and butt with shaving cream and a good multi-blade razor. You have to continually rinse the razor and run your finger or thumb in the direction of the blades to get the hair out or it won't shave well. By the time I've finished this, it's almost time for the Nair to be done.
When the time is up for the Nair, grab a washcloth and hit the shower, getting yourself all good and wet, then wiping over your body with the drenched washcloth and wiping the hair off. You'll have to rinse the cloth frequently to let the hair fall off, to the floor. You can wipe firmly but don't rub too harshly. It'll all come off and you'll be smooth as a baby's behind.
If you followed the directions on the bottle, and the hair was not totally removed, a longer period of time will be necessary. You'll have to find a way of doing it that works for you.
If all his seems complicated, it's not, it's very simple. I just tried to be as detailed as I could so I wouldn't overlook anything.
You'll feel sexier than you ever felt & you might get hard for your own body! ;D Lol!

I think it'll be easier to start of with a trimmer, especially if he hasn't shaved yet.
