I finally had the courage to shave my pubes for the first time. It was kinda troublesome process but I'd say it worked pretty well. Anyways for anyone who have shaved too, can you tell me what I can expect for the following months (except pubes growing back, I already know that )? Really appreciate it.

I agree, you're in for A LOT of itching and discomfort when it grows back. If you start shaving regularly for an extended period of time the itching will go away, but seriously, I'm not envying what you're gonna be feeling over the next week or so. :P

At least that itching shouldn't last for all of those months... :P
Out of curiosity, are there any methods - shaving cream or whatever - to reduce the itching? Although I'm guessing it's from hair growth afterwards, so shaving cream would be useless.

i found that trimming was worse than shaving, but I wet shaved (if that has anything to do with it)...its certainly something that I wont be repeating (Im loving having my pubic hair back) because it comes back as stubble and then proceeds to feel very uncomfortable.
I shaved them in early january, and now you cant tell at all that I did it.

hey guys, surprisingly it did not itch as much as I expected. I thought today's gym class was gunna be hell cos we had to like run 10 laps and I thought it would hurt so much I would have to tell the coach I can't run cos I shaved my pubes (wow that wouldn't be embarrassing :whoops:). anyways in my amazement there was just a little uncomfy feeling. it's almost 24 hours which means the itch will probably not come because most people said discomfort only last around 24 hours

erm, i hate to burst your bubble, but normally it persists for about a week. I found that the worst bit for me when i shaved was when it started to regrow back (as stubble:eek:), about 2-3 days after shaving.
You may be different from me, and it does look like youve had a very lucky call!

first of all, i love to shave my pubic hair. it's definatly worth the effort. why, you ask? well.. for one, dirt and sweat won't accumulate all over your nut, gooch, and pubic areas. two, possibly one of the most logical reasons why i shave my pubic hair, would you like to floss and eat at the same time? if you get my drift? do you think a girl would like to give you oral sex, and pick out all the hair she accumulates in her mouth? no, i don't think so! i'd much rather prefer a baby smooth, clean shaven pussy. and, vise versa, for you girls reading this.
shaving pubic hair can enduce alot of pain, and itching. well, atleast it did for me. after about a month of shaving your pubic hair, on a regular basis, the itching surpasses nearly every time. be sure to use some sort of moisturizer while shaving, and always use a fresh blade! or you get shaving bumps (little red bumps that surface after a shave). bacteria and gunk accumulates on the blade after every shave, and dulls it for that matter. so, be sure to always use a new blade after 5 shaves, atleast.
theres also alot of psychological aspects about shaving pubic hair. before i had a girlfriend, and lost my virginity, i used to think men should be hairy! you know, masculinity, that sort of thing. i used to think, dicks should have hair on them! and you know, they should! but, then i started taking my girlfriend into consideration. and you know, alot of kids going through puberty think they look like little boys when they shave their pubic hair. do what feels most comfortable to you! if you ask me, pick up the shaving habbit! it's well worth it!
plus, some girls only SHOOT for guys that have a clean shaven private area! they think it's sexy. (atleast from what i've been told)

You can expect itching and an annoying little pain. If you trimmed, you wouldnt have to deal with any of it.

Yeah I do it every few weeks. It's a lot of itching to say the least.
Be prepared for it!
