Yes, these are two different things. Ejaculation is when you eject semen from your penis. Orgasm is the word for the feeling you experience during ejaculation, intense pleasure.

Usually, you can't have an orgasm without also ejaculating. Two exceptions (besides the very rare other exception):

1. You're young and haven't started producing sperm yet
2. You've masturbated a lot in a short time and your body hasn't produced more sperm yet

Both are known as having a dry orgasm.

Everything Meh Guy says ^^ I didn't start ejaculating until I was about 14, even though I achieved orgasms, which I thought was weird. It is however, completely normal :)

Yes, they are technically different things. As you have probably discovered they do tend to happen at the same time, though.

Apart from the cases already mentioned where you would ejaculate except there is nothing there to ejaculate, either because you haven't started producing semen or have temporarily run down your reserve, the others times they may not happen at exactly the same time are after doing a lot of stop/go or edging. If you get the timing of when you stop slighly wrong it is possible to get a "dud" where you ejaculate but either don't have a noticable orgasm or the orgasm is pretty weak by normal standards. I have also had occasions when the peak of the orgasm has been some time after the biggest part of the ejaculation.

Ejaculation is when the cum leaves your body. Orgasm is that crazy good feeling you get :-)

Good points Hermes, a couple more to consider...a "Wet Dream" or nocturnal emission is an ejaculation, and rarely does an orgasm accompany it (sorry to those guys trying to have one from what they teach you in Sex ed, it should just be called a "messy dream" as you just end up wet like you peed the bed!)
And there are those that have trained their penile muscles to hold back to the point the can achieve multiple orgasms without ejaculation, kind of like the stop & go method, but with the reverse result. From what I have read, very difficult to achieve....

I edited the above quote to only directly answer your question. This answer is correct.

So yea like everyone said
Ejaculation is when you "cum" by eject semen/fluid in general
Orgasms are just the muscles contracting + that intense feeling (aka dopamine rush)

When I started masturbating at 12 I couldn't ejaculate until I was 13
Now if I masturbate more than 4 times in a row i cant ejaculate for about a day
